Directions by Car - From East

From Quebec City:

Take the Autoroute 40 along the north shore of the St. Lawrence to Berthierville. From Berthierville, take the 158 (in some places improved to Hwy 50) by Joliet and St. Jerome to Lachute. From there, take the 148 to Hull (or the finished section of 50 from Masson onwards) along the scenic Ottawa River.

The Chateau Montebello is along the way and is a great place to stop for a very nice lunch in the largest log structure in the world, with a beautiful view of the Ottawa River.

From 148/50 follow the signs for downtown Hull and exit on to Maisonneuve Blvd.

Follow Masionneuve Blvd. to the Portage Bridge to Ottawa, at the very end of the boulevard. At the end of the bridge, turn left onto Wellington Street and go up two lights to Lyon Street. Turn right onto Lyon Street. Albert Street is the third street. Turn right onto Albert Street, and Albert House Inn is a block and a half down on the left past Bay Street.

Alternatively, from Quebec City take the south shore Autoroute 20 to Montreal and follow the directions from Montreal.
